Yes. The method works on all types of hair and all areas of the body, regardless of what treatment or treatments have occurred in the past.

Is it safe to treat breast hairs with the galvanic method?
Yes. Multiple Needle Galvanic is safe and effective for hair on any part of the body. The computer precisely regulates a comfortable low dosage of current, which reaches down the full length of the hair follicle.

Can all the hair be removed in one session?
Usually, no. The skin has many hair follicles, but not all of them are active at the same time. Some follicles are resting while the adjacent follicles are producing hair. Eventually the active follicles slow down, cease growing hair, and revert to a resting stage. They remain inactive for many months, with the dead hair (club hair) hanging in the opening of the follicle (up to 12 months). Eventually this club hair sheds, leaving no evidence of a viable follicle just under the surface. Meanwhile, those follicles that were previously resting become active and commence growing hair. This continuously alternating process is referred to as the hair growth cycle. We can only treat hairs that are visible at the surface of the skin. We must wait for the alternate hairs to appear before we can treat them. For this reason treatments must extend over a four-month period or longer.

Is it painful?
Although electrolysis is not without sensation, the galvanic method uses a smooth (DC) current that most people find quite comfortable. Certain areas of the body may be more sensitive than others, but the treatment is comfortable enough to go on for several hours. Many people have been known to fall asleep during treatment!

How will my skin look and feel after treatment?
There may be some localized redness, which will dissipate in approximately half an hour. There are products and techniques to help conceal or even out any redness more quickly, so you can go about your business without feeling self-conscious.

Is superfluous hair normal or do I have a disease?
A few stray hairs are not unusual and perfectly normal. However, some women do experience hormone changes, which result in excessive unwanted hair. This imbalance may be temporary such as occurs at puberty, pregnancy, or menopause; or due to a more serious long-term problem. If you have recently noticed a change in the amount or the pattern of facial and/or body hair, it would be wise to see a physician.

Do men have abnormal hair growth?
Often, as men mature, they experience hair growth which they find undesirable; such as thicker longer eyebrows, increased chest and back hair, or long dark hairs on the ears. This is not considered abnormal or a symptom of hormone imbalance, but appears to be a natural occurrence resulting from heredity.
